MATCHES ARRANGEMENT / SEASON LENGTH

Up to two matches are hosted by Dream each week with one guaranteed match on a fixed day (to be determined) and one optional match for more spontaneous arrangements. The Season will start in Week 27 and last 6 Months (roughly December).

SCORING AND PRIZES

---------------

The scoring is designed to award clear winners (e.g. 3-0-0) with more points than close winners. A small number of "participation points" is awarded to every player simply for playing.

The scoring scales with the format and number of players, so that longer games are worth more, even for players who never win a round.

And the end of the season, Dreams' points will be substracted from the Top-6 players and points won will be converted to EUR and payed out to the Top-6.

SCHEME SETTINGS

There are 2 Scheme Variants. Before each game start, players can vote which to play.

The scheme used will be a modified variant of Kaos Normal as used by Hosting Buddy, so with superweapons turned on.

VARIANT A

Modifications compared to 1v1 events include:

Initial health of worms increased to 250

Manual placement of worms (4 per player in every round)

Donor cards (multiplayer exclusive feature)

Turn time decreased to 35 seconds

Retreat of any kind increased to 5 seconds

Thinking time before starting a turn of 5 seconds

Health crate value doubled (200 hp)

Up to 10 three-second mines and oil barrels on the terrain

No invisibility available in crates

All weapons in the game are available

Power of Banana Bomb reduced to minimum

Probabilities of all adjustable weapons providing 1x unit are set at 5/5 boxes

Probabilities of crates providing 2x or 3x units are lowered to 3/5 boxes

Explosions push all objects feature (to compliment better the unpredictable nature of multiplayer games)

Fall damage triggered by explosions feature (due to initial health and health crates values being increased)

Constant crate shower with a slowest rate instead of drops between turns

VARIANT B

Differences to Variant A are:

6 worms for all matches

random placement of worms (reducing time spent on placement vs longer round time in general)

bigger scale of maps (1.3x) to make it up for random placement and also to fit more worms in general
+50% points for all players

FORMAT CHOICES

The scheme can be played with 4 different formats, longer formats will award more points for players participating in them. The formats are:

3-Wins

5-Wins

7-Wins

9-Wins

Before each game, all present players vote for a format and the format with the most votes gets played. For the last few games of the season, only 7 and 9 Win formats can be picked.

We're assuming an average game time of ~1.5 hours for the shortest game (3 players, 3-Wins) and a average game time of ~4.5-8 hours for, longer and bigger rounds (9-Wins).

DISCONNECTION / QUITTING RULES

• Disconnected players get their wins rewarded if they disconnect after a certain amount of rounds (depending on format), but don't get baseline participation points. Should the host disconnect, all players get their points awarded.
